That's great! Even though your now slowly learning, are you planning on keeping speaking english together? Or do you want to change to one of your native languages later on? Hungarian and Marathi are both quite difficult languages, too!

@TifennOh that sounds really difficult with another alphabet... Well I began learning it in school, so I already knew a bit of the language when I met him, and Spanish is way more easy than Russian.... I mean spanish is in general not soo complicated... And yeah I know this, once the necessity is gone/lower or isn't there, we learn less. Sadly I experienced that with spanish, too, and over all, my boyfriend experiences this a lot with german, whats a bit of a problem to be honest

Hi, thanks for your answer! Thats really great - you're right, I think in my/our case it's a lack of discipline and willingness, to be honest... The matter is also that I feel comfortable in his language, and he in his own language too of course, so we dont have like this uncomfortable situation to have to communicate in a language we don't like. But even though, it would make more sense to speak my language = the language of the country. So we have to work on it XD

Hey (: I'm sorry for that! I heard from this problem a lot, especially from the families which are in the better-situated country... In my case, my boyfriend comes from the badder-situated country (in comparision), his familiy had no problem with me, but my family had some prejudices at the beginning. Afortunately, they got used to it very fast and now when they know him better they are really happy for me and him. I hope your family will get used to it and let go prejudice etc. at some point in the future, too!
